Senator representing Plateau South Senatorial District Simon Lalong has congratulated former Plateau State Governor Chief Senator Joshua Chibi Dariye on his 67th birthday.
Lalong in a message described Chief Dariye as a leader who has demonstrated consistent sacrifice, service and commitment to the general good over the years.
This was contained in a statement by Dr. Makut Simon Macham, Special Adviser on Media to Senator Lalong.
He acknowledges the efforts put into various initiatives by Senator Dariye in his public life where he left worthy legacies in the lives of people of Plateau State and the society at large.
Senator Lalong also used the opportunity to celebrate Chief Dariye for his resilience, doggedness and passion towards defending the rights of the vulnerable and minorities at any given opportunity available to him.
Lalong also celebrates Chief Dariye’s quest for unity, peace and emancipation which he pursued vigorously during his days as Governor.
While wishing him many more years of good health and divine protection, Lalong urges Chief Dariye to continue to avail the younger generation his wealth of experience and wisdom especially in politics, as a way of continuing the mentoring process he has always devoted time for.
