A delegation of Plateau All Progressives Congress (APC) family in Abuja has visited the National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda Goshewe to commiserate with him over the demise of his mother, Mama Lydia Toma Yilwatda who recently passed on at 83.
Leading the delegation to the Abuja residence of the APC National Chairman, Senator representing Plateau South Senatorial District and leader of the APC in Plateau State Simon Lalong said the demise of Mama Lydia was devastating.
This was contained in a statement by Special Adviser Media to Senator Lalong, Dr. Makut Simon Macham.
He said the succour, however, comes from the fact that she lived a productive life and impacted the society by standing firm to support her husband and raise her children in the way of the Lord.
Lalong described her death as unfortunate but said it was important to accept the will of God and celebrate her achievements and legacies.
He prayed God to comfort the family and also grant them the fortitude to bear the loss.
Also speaking, the National Secretary of the APC, Senator Ajibola Basiru said the National Working Committee received the news with shock and sadness.
He extended the condolences of the party to the Chairman assuring him that they will be with him all through the period of mourning.
Responding, Prof. Nentawe thanked Senator Lalong and the delegation for the visit describing their words as comforting.
He said the Nentawe family is celebrating the life of Mama rather than mourning because of the level of sacrifices she made to support their father and fill any gap.

Nentawe said his mother was a living miracle because she had a health condition which doctors gave her few years to live.
However, she ended up living for over 40 years before she was called to her maker. This he said proved her faith in God and reaffirmed their trust in the power of God.
Prayers were offered for the repose of the soul of late Mama Lydia as well as comfort to the family.
