Senator Lalong, national assembly members condole victims of Dikko tanker incident

Senator representing Plateau South Senatorial District Simon Lalong joined his colleague representing Niger East and Chairman, Senate Committee on Finance Sani Musa to his Constituency on a condolence visit over the recent petrol tanker accident which claimed many lives and left many injured.
While consoling the people of Dikko, Suleja LGA of Niger State on Tuesday over the tragic incident, Senator Lalong said the losses recorded are huge, very unfortunate and painful.
This was contained in a statement by Dr. Makut Simon Macham, Special Adviser on Media to Senator Lalong.
He said while many have responded to bring succour to the families of the affected and other victims receiving treatment, it was important to draw lessons and submit to the will of God while praying that such never occurs again.

Senator representing Niger East Senatorial District Sani Musa said his constituents have been greatly impacted by this sad development.
He commended the Government for responding positively and also thanked members of the Senate and House of Representatives who came to sympathise with him and his people.
Responding, the Hakimin Dikko Alhaji Saleh Subada thanked the national assembly members for the visit and urged them to continue to support the community to recovery.
Earlier, Senator Lalong had attended budget defence by Senate Committees on Budget and National Planning, Intelligence and Foreign Affairs.
