Senator Lalong pledges stronger partnership with Pan Nation as he commiserate with them over loss of monarch

Senator representing Plateau South Senatorial District Simon Bako Lalong has pledged strong partnership with the people of Pan Chiefdom in Quaan’Pan LGA during his tenure in the Senate.

Senator Lalong was speaking during a visit to the Quaan’Pan Traditional Council for a condolence over the death of the Long Pan, HRH Miskagam Emmanuel Dabang who recently joined his ancestors.

Lalong who was received by the Acting Chairman, Quaan-Pan Traditional Council HRH Safiyanu Allahnana Long Jan of Namu, said the late Long Pan, a first class traditional ruler was a man of peace and unity who did everything possible to galvanise his people and ensure that the area witness prosperity.

He regretted that he was not able to attend the funeral rites for the royal father due to a conflicting national assignment, but still considered it very important to personality visit personally to condole the people.

The Senator asked them to ensure thay his legacies flourish as he left indelible footprints in the sands of time.

Responding, Acting Chairman, Quaan-Pan Traditional Council Miskoom Safiyanu Allahnana said the council which the late royal father presided over for many years is very happy with the show of support and goodwill demonstrated by Senator Lalong since the demise was reported.

He described the late Long Pan as a man who united the council and did all within his power to cultivate unity, cohesion and collaboration among the various chiefdoms of the local government.

Senator Lalong later visited the residence of the late monarch where he asked them to be consoled by the good works of the late Royal father who demonstrated compassion, commitment and dedication.

Accompanying Senator Lalong to on the visit were some Pan Elders, Secretary General Pan Development Association and National President Pan Youths Association.

Before leaving Quaan’Pan, Senator Lalong took time off to inaugurate some Constituency projects implemented by member Representing QuaanPan North constituency and Chairman House Committee on Water Resources and Energy at the Plateau State House of Assembly Hon. Owen Dagogot.

They include 11 boreholes and distribution of fertilizers to various beneficiaries.

He commended the member and promised to partner with him to deliver dividends of democracy to the people of QuanPan LGA and the entire southern zone.

Hon. Owen thanked Senator Lalong whom he described as his political father and promised to continue to emulate his good works, humility and commitment to the good of the people.
