Simeon, eldest son of foremost middle belt initiator, late Tarka, dies at 65 years

Hon Simeon Mbakorkaa Tarka, eldest son of foremost Middle Belt Initiator and politician, Chief Joseph Sarwua Tarka has died. He was aged 65 years.
In a statement to Apex News Friday, spokesman for the Tarka family, Mr Chris Tarka, explained that Hon. Simeon attended a political meeting in Makurdi, at the house of Emmanuel Manger, a commissioner in the state when he suddenly became indisposed.
The statement said Simeon was rushed to a hospital where he was confirmed dead.
Simeon, who was a member of Nigeria’s House of Representatives, attended Saint John’s College Kaduna from where he went to an American University for further studies. On return to democracy in 1979, he put his studies on hold and returned to Nigeria to join his father in politics.
They were all members of the National Party of Nigeria (NPN).
In the elections of 1979, he emerged as the youngest member to be elected into the House of Representatives while his father was elected Senator.
