Somali football legend, Farah dies of COVID-19

The death of Abdulkadir Mohamed Farah, a Somali Football Legend has been confirmed on Friday, March 27, in a tweet on the official Twitter account of the Somali Football Federation (SFF).

It was reported that Farah who started his football career in 1976 has died in a hospital after testing positive for coronavirus.

Farah before his death was an advisor to the Minister of Youth and sport in Somalia, Naija News understands.

It was said that the football legend died at the Northwest London hospital on Tuesday, a few days after a medical test confirmed he had been infected with the global epidemic, Coronavirus.

Confirming the report, Somali Football Federation tweeted; “Somalia lost football legend Abdulkadir Mohamed Farah to Coronavirus. The legend died at a hospital in London where he was admitted last week. The SFF sends condolence to his family, relatives and the entire Somali football family.”(NaijaNews)
