United Visionary Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in southern Kaduna have reaffirmed their unwavering commitment to the party, despite the growing presence of opposition parties like the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and the Social Democratic Party (SDP).

The leaders made the declaration during an APC stakeholders’ meeting held in Chori, Jaba Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

Speaking at the event, the host, Rt. Hon. Godfrey Ali Gaiya, praised President Bola Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani for their dedication to inclusive governance.

He assured that stakeholders in Southern Kaduna would continue to support the administration’s efforts to strengthen the party’s grassroots presence.

Gaiya, who currently serves as the Political Adviser to the Speaker of the National Assembly, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, emphasized that the group’s primary objective is to solidify the APC’s foundation in Southern Kaduna.

This includes expanding membership, ensuring quality representation, and securing strategic political appointments to deepen the party’s influence.

He urged party members to remain steadfast in their support for the government, stressing the importance of peaceful coexistence to foster development across communities.

In his remarks, Mr. Ado Dogo Audu, Chairman of the group and Political Affairs Counselor to the Governor of Kaduna State, downplayed perceived threats from the rising influence of opposition parties, particularly in Zone 3 of the state.

He attributed recent defections to the APC’s people-oriented approach and its inclusive, responsive governance.

Dr. Abdulmalik Durungwa emphasized the need for sustained grassroots engagement, encouraging members to work collectively to ensure the party remains both visible and impactful.

Professor Dogara Matoh, National Secretary of the Renewed Hope Consolidation Mandate, called on party members to stay united and avoid divisive politics based on religion, ethnicity, or region, especially as the 2027 elections approach.

Mr. Rijo Shekari highlighted the vital role of local government chairmen and councilors as the bridge between the people and government. He urged them to consistently communicate government policies and development initiatives to their constituents.

Engineer Joseph Chiroma stressed the importance of internal organization and alignment with party structures to prevent internal strife.

He also praised Elder Anthony Hassan for initiating the groundwork for the Federal University of Applied Sciences in Kachia, calling it a landmark grassroots achievement.
