In a statement released Saturday by the Chairman of the Southern Kaduna Christian Leaders Association (SKCLA), Apostle Dr. Emmanuel Nuhu Kure, Christians are called to embody the spirit of Easter by extending a helping hand to those in need within their communities.

Apostle Kure emphasized the significance of Easter as a time for Christians to rejoice in the triumph of life over death and to reflect on the teachings of love, peace, and forgiveness exemplified by Jesus Christ. He noted the special importance of this year’s Easter celebration in light of the challenges faced by the community, stressing the message of resilience and unity embedded in the Easter narrative.

Acknowledging the efforts of the government, security agencies, and other stakeholders in ensuring a peaceful environment for Easter celebrations, Apostle Kure urged Christians to embrace the essence of Easter by promoting harmony, tolerance, and love among all individuals and communities in Southern Kaduna.

Furthermore, he encouraged Christians to remember the less fortunate during this festive period, emphasizing the importance of offering support and kindness to uplift one another. By doing so, he believes Christians can demonstrate the true spirit of their faith and contribute to building a more inclusive and compassionate society.

In a gesture of interfaith goodwill, Apostle Kure extended congratulations to the Muslim community on their fast and called for continued prayers for a more peaceful future together.

The statement reflects a call to action for affluent Christians to embody the principles of compassion and generosity, fostering unity and solidarity within the Southern Kaduna community during the Easter season and beyond.
