By Sunny A. David

Nigeria women have been asked to promote loves and peace in all they do for quicker attainment of the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals.

Speakers at a social gathering, harped on the need for women to come together, form alliances that will promote their cause especially in a developing country like Nigeria.

For the Founder “Tomorrow’s Women Development Organization” and “Convener Ruth Sisters Fellowship International,” Mrs. Chinyere Ezenwokike who hails from Oraifite, Ekwusigo Council Area, women should abide together in love as according to her, any society without love has no peace.

For Mrs. Edith Mike-Ejezie, from Aguleri, Anambra East Council Area, women have diverse roles and must therefore, live up to expectations even though culture and religion inhibits them.

Mrs. Mike-Ejezie said since women make up about fifty percent of Nigeria’s population, they should be included in the scheme of things because they are good managers.

Contributing Pastor Jackie Ike-Otuonye, from Ozubulu, also in Ekwujsigo Council Area said that placing Nigeria woman in their rightful position will spur to fared a lot better than she was in the past adding that Nigeria women are coming up to excel in various fields of endeavour.

Also speaking, Mrs. Amaka Ebenebe from Awkuzu in Oyi Local Government Area and Mrs. Gloria Ahmed from Niger State are of the opinion that the pull her down mentality in Nigeria is the bane of women development in the country.

Another speaker, Ms. Chinwe Ogbuka from Agulu, in Anaocha Council Area, said though Nigeria women have a high sense of determination, they are still dominated politically by the men.
