STEM Child Care Academy, Wuse promoting FGN’s directive on education – Sunday Dare

Mr. Sunday Dare, Special Adviser, Public Communication and Orientation to President Bola Tinubu has disclosed that STEM Child Care Academy, (SCCA), Wuse, Abuja is promoting Federal Government’s education policy directive of propelling Nigeria to growth.
He made the disclosure at the
8th speech and prize giving day of SCCA, which was held at UBEC Digital Center at Kado, Abuja.
According to him, “The Federal Government wants stakeholders to propel the country to greatness through the teaching and application of Science, Technology , Engineering and Mathematics to pupils, students, wards and youth towards propelling the country to technological greatness.
“The World is technologically developing rapidly through educational research in the 21st century.
“This could only be achieved when we invest on the youth through teaching, theory, practicals, excursions and relevant means to encourage them to develop the country.
“There are differences in the World compared to what is obtained now, the World would continue to evolve in the next ten years and beyond, we must adapt so that we wouldn’t be left lagging through quality education.” He said.
Mr. Dare, who is a former Minister of Youth and Sports congratulates STEM Child Care Academy, Wuse for its success within the period and urge the management, staff and students to be proactive in developing to country through STEM education.
In his speech, Abdullahi Buhari Ali, Chairman SCCA Parents Teachers Association said, “The school community funfair event registered 599 children, 241 parent/guardians, and 67 teachers.
“A special highlight of the event was the introduction of the Kidpreneur Initiative, where our young entrepreneurs showcased their talents.
“Recently, our students made Nigeria and all of Africa proud at a recent (STEM Competition) Codeavour International Competition in Qatar. Apart from Algeria, we were the only African country to win an award at the finals. Our teams competed against students from countries like India, Jordan, Indonesia, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Vietnam many of whom had significant government backing and access to advanced technical resources.
“Despite the odds, our students displayed extraordinary resilience, determination, and brilliance. They were exposed to international collaboration, engaged in critical thinking, innovation, creativity, and problem-solving skills essential for thriving in today’s digital era.
“This victory is a testament to the foresight and investment made many years ago when STEM education was still in its early days. To see our vision become a reality is truly fulfilling,” he said.
Proprietor of the Academy, Mohammed Alhaji Mamu said “The success story of this academy couldn’t be possible without the support of parents, staff and students, respectively.
“I am calling on every stakeholder to ensure they enhance their efforts towards the teaching and learning to develop the country to greater height.
“The graduation ceremony was successful for the nursery, primary and junior secondary sets respectively.

Some respondents said they are happy to be part of STEM Child Care Academy, Wuse.
