Super Eagles player, Moffi donates 50 FIFA-quality footballs, N1m to Pelicans Stars FC, Rovers FC

Super Eagles football star, Terem Moffi has donated 50 footballs to the two football teams owned by Cross River  State government,  Pelicans FC and Rovers FC alongside N1 million to mark his birthday.

Moffi who currently plays for Ligue 1 Club Nice in France hails from Ogoja Local Government Area of Cross River State also presented a customized OGC Nice football club jerseys to the state governor and his deputy, Rt. Hon. Peter Odey.

In appreciation of the impact he has made to make the state proud, Governor Bassey Otu lavished him with N10 million on his birthday and as part of his one year anniversary celebration in office. 

The 25 year-old was included in the Super Eagles squad for the 2024 African Cup of Nations, held in Ivory Coast few months ago.

Gov Otu said, “I am very happy to celebrate you today, especially on your birthday. We are proud,  too, that from my assessments of you, despite the fame and attendant blessings on you, your appearance is so simple. It shows the good upbringing your father imparted on you. The state appreciates you with N10m.”
