Support my administration, security agents to stem tide of insecurity bedeviling us – Bauchi Governor, Bala appeals

Bauchi State Governor, Sen Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir has called on the people of the state to support his administration and security agencies to be able to fight and win the war against insecurity that is gradually crippling into the state. 

The Governor made the appeal on Sunday in Duguri while in continuation of his condolence visits to areas affected by kidnapping and killing in recent times by yet to be identified gunmen believed to be kidnappers. 

He had on Saturday visited Mansur and Garin Sambo where the gunmen killed one person, injured 3 others and abducted many others demanding for ransom just as he visited Shafa village to condole another family whose father was killed while 3 of his granddaughters were abducted and still in captivity.

The Governor was accompanied by the Heads of security Agents in the State and other top Government Officials where he challenged community members to rise against the activities of bandits and unknown gunmen invading their Communities.

The Governor also visited his country home, Garin Duguri where he sympathized with the people over incessant kidnapping and abduction in the areas, requesting them to continue to support government and security agents in the fight against the menace. 

Bala Mohammed regretted that there are informants within the communities changing  traditional rulers and security Agents to collaborate in fishing out the perpetrators .

Bauchi State Commissioner of Police, Umar Sanda  warned that the NIGERIAN Police and other security agents will catch up with those he described as informants within and enjoined them not to harbor criminals. 

The Executive Chairman of Alkaleri Local Government Area, Yusuf Garba and the District Head of Yuli, Alhaji Adamu Mohammed commended Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed for the visit and pledged to work in close collaboration with relevant stakeholders and authorities in addressing the menace.
