In a humanitarian support, former Nigeria Chief of Army Staff, General T Y Danjuma (rtd.) has donated N1 billion to Borno state government over the recent flood disaster.
The donation is to aid victims of the devastating floods in Maiduguri, Borno State. The flood had displaced thousands of residents and caused severe damage to homes and infrastructure left many in urgent need of assistance.
The Army General who’s known for his generous contributions to humanitarian causes, expressed deep concern for the victims and emphasized the importance of supporting communities during such crises.
“What took place Maiduguri the capital of Born state, I want to express my deep concern and heartfelt to the victims and emphasize the importance of supporting communities at when the need arises”, he said.
“This donation, my expectation is to help provide emergency relief, including shelter, food, and medical assistance to those affected victims,” the former army chief said.
