Taraba State SDP governorship candidate, Danladi Baido, unveils his running mate, Alhaji Ahmad Dattijo, middle, in Jalingo on Thursday

The Governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Taraba State, Hon. Danladi Baido has formally unveiled his running mate, Alhaji Ahmad Dattijo for the 2023 election.
Unveiling the running mate in Jalingo on Thursday, Hon. Baido said he picked Alhaji Ahmad Dattijo because of his track record, experience, humility and his geographical background.
Baido explained that he is the most senior and experienced of all the Governorship candidates of the various political parties in Taraba State because he is the only one among them that contested the position in the past and emerged victorious in the primaries and expressed optimism that it is now the ripe for him to be the Governor.
He maintained that Taraba State just needed progress by removing politics of ethnicity and religion which greatly retarded the development of the state since its creation in 1991.
Baido pledged to provide the needed peace for the people to go about all their activities without fear or hinderance and embrace all shades of opinions from the different religions and ethnic groups for the betterment of Taraba State.
The SDP Governorship candidate said both himself and his running made were born and grew up in Taraba State and know the needs and the problems of the people than and any of the candidate of the
other political parties which will give them the ample opportunity to serve them better.
Alhaji Dattijo who is from Mayo Ndaga in Sardauna of Local Government Area holds a Master’s degree in Management and has been in both Government and private services before venturing into politics some years back.
