The decision of Taraba State Governor Agbu Kefas’ resolve to organize retreat for civil servants and local government councils elected leaders has been applauded in the state.

Speaking at the just-concluded two-day retreat in Jalingo, the state ALGON chairman and chairman of Kurmi Local Government Area, Hon. Moses Maihankali said Governor Kefas deserves commendation in all ramifications and applauded him for his magnanimity to ensure that the state does not lag behind in terms of administrative knowledge.

While he emphasized on the significance of the retreat, Maihankali urged beneficiaries to continue to pray for Governor Kefas’ Administration, describing him as God-sent to the state.

Recall that Governor Kefas since assumption of office nearly three years ago has continued to encourage workers on the need to embark on regular training which he said has benefitted the state a lot.

According to the ALGON boss, the retreat was targeted at providing valuable opportunities for local government leaders to network, share experiences and learn from experts of various fields.

“The two-day retreat is a crucial platform for us to sharpen our skills, share best practices and explore innovative approaches to governance.

“I commend the Governor for its vision and initiative to train local government elected personnel and share commitment to empowering leaders and raising the standard of public service,” he said.

Maihankali observed that the governor recognizes that the successful implementation of his development agenda depends on a skill motivated and efficient local government service, describing the on-going reforms as deliberate and strategic.

Recall that the two-day retreat for local government councils elected leaders approved by Governor Kefas was designed to improve and straighten the local government administration for efficiency and effective service delivery.
