Taraba assembly adopts public complaints, anti-corruption commission bill

Taraba State House of Assembly has adopted the report of an adhoc committee on the bill public complaints and anti-corruption commission bill 2021 in a committee of whole.
This followed a motion moved by the majority leader Douglas Yahaya Ndatse and seconded by the minority leader Bashir Mohammed paved way for the chairman of the committee John Kizito Bonzena to lay the bill at the floor of the house.
Leading the debate, the chairman of the committee, John Kizito Bonzena said the committee recommend that the enactment clause be rephrased to read enacted by the Taraba State House of Assembly among other recommendations.
In their various comments the speaker professor Joseph Albasu Kunini and member representing Ibbi constituency Abdulkarim Mohammed applauded the members of the committee for a job well done.
Members unanimously adopted the report of the committee in a voice vote.
The deputy speaker, Haman Adama Ibn Abdallah reported progress to the speaker, Professor Joseph Albasu Kunini and the report was referred to the committee on business and rules to reschedule it for the next legislative date.
The sitting was adjourned to Tuesday November 16, 2021.
