A State High Court in Jalingo Taraba State has served an interim injunction restraining a third Class traditional ruler the Kwantse of Kwararrafa Chiefdom John Agbu Tsokwa from parading himself as the third class Chief of the Chiefdom, stopping him from further appointments of districts and village heads and declaring all the appointments he made in the past as null and void.

The injunction followed a case filed by the village head of Kwararrafa Ibrahim Jauro Isa against the Kwantse and five others Adamu Sa’idu, Hamman Adama Haram, Bello Maiwada, Alhaji Kyau Sabongida, Ibrahim Aliyu and Mohammed Seyo whose the Kwantse recently appointed as district heads in his domain praying the court to past the interim injunction on the Kwantse and nullify all the appointments on the grounds that the Kwantse John Agbu Tsokwa in the first place is not an indigene of Taraba State and so not an indigene of Kwararrafa, that non of his grandparents, parents or himself that held the position of even a ward head anywhere and so cannot be the Chief of Kwararrafa by any means.
