Late Aisha Alhassan

Taraba State Governor, Architect Darius Dickson Ishaku has expressed deep shock over the death of Senator Aisha Jummai Alhassan, former governorship aspirant in the state and frontline member of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP).
A statement by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Bala Dan Abu describes Aisha as a woman of great courage.
The Governor says he had enjoyed a robust political relationship with the late Senator even when both of them contested for the governorship seat of Taraba State from different political parties in 2015 and 2019.
Governor Ishaku stresses that the death of Aisha has robbed Taraba State and Nigeria of the benefits of her wealth of experience in politics.
The Governor adds that as minister of Women Affairs, Senator Aisha contributed immensely towards social and political emancipation of women and that her death has left a vacuum that will be difficult to fill.
It urges her family to take solace in the fact that she lived a life of service to humanity.
Governor Darius Ishaku prayed God to grant her soul eternal rest.
