Governor Darius Ishaku of Taraba State has signed the 2023 appropriation bill into law, the last for his administration.
Ishaku thanked the Speaker and members of the State House of Assembly for passing the 2023 Appropriation law.
He said to achieve the laudable objectives of the 2023 Budget, the Government will ensure the monitoring of projects and programmes implementation by MDAs and work very hard for the next five months to generate revenues to finance the budget. The Governor explained that the Public Complaint and Accountability Commission will be strengthened to improve and consolidate transparency and accountability, while the incoming administration will continue from where he will stops.
The 2023 Budget which was jacked from over ₦74,556,829,088.15 as recurrent expenditure, representing forty three percent and ₦98,677,708,371.2 as capital expenditure, representing fifty seven percent.

The Governor stated that further details of the 2023 approved budget will be provided by the Honourable Commissioner Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning.
He thanked the Deputy Governor and all other members of the State Executive Council, the Commissioner of Budget and Economic Planning and his team and all that have worked vigorously to ensure the State Government delivered its mandate.
