Governor Darius Ishaku of Taraba State

Governor Darius Ishaku of Taraba State has vowed to deal ruthlessly with any polical rascal that tries to disrupt the 2023 general election in the the State.
The Governor sounded the warning when critical stakeholders across the state paid him Christmas homage at the Government Lodge in his hometown Takum.
In his words “I plead with you to make this election rancour free allow the people to take decision. I am advising that those who believed in rascality I am assuring you that this time around any rascal who has no home training and whose father cannot didplined him in his house and come to public domain to expose how bad his family is we will try to use the Government insttutions to discipline that person.
“I have passed my warnings and I want to State categorically that we will wear the same trouser with any political rascal who vowed to disrupt the peaceful conduct of the elections”.
He advised parents to control their Children before, during and after the election or face the full wrath of the law as the Government can no longer condone acts that are inimical to development.
Governor Ishaku said the Government will establish a parking load for trailers at Pantinapu to stop them from parking and servicing their vehicles on the highway which is not only causing accidents but also damaging the road.
He therefore directed the Federal Road Safety Corps and other Security operatives to stop the trailer drivers from parking unilitarally on the dual carriage way from Jauro Yinu to Pantinapu advising the trailer drivers to park at Government approved designated parks for now.
The Governor commended traditional rulers in the State for their efforts in the area of security and peace but said more need to be done.
“Traditional rulers are doing well particularly some of you but you need to do more the creation of Chiefdoms, distincts and village heads have made your work easier”.
On the political landscape, Governor Ishaku maintained that the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has no cause to lose any election in the State from top to bottom because it has all it takes to win all the elections considering it’s winning spree and performances since 1999.
Governor Ishaku rated his administration high in the areas of Education, Health, Agriculture, water, Road construction and all aspects of human development.
The Governor commended his Deputy, Haruna Manu for his support pledging to give him all the assistance for his Senatorial bid, his wife Anna Ishaku for her efforts particularly in Ndola Development Area, the Speaker Taraba State House of Assembly and all the members for their understanding.
He thanked Tarabans for their continuous support to his administration and pledged to complete all projects before the end of his tenure.
In a Goodwill message, the Speaker of the Taraba State House of Assembly John Kizito Bonzena appreciated Governor Darius Ishaku for his giant developmental strides.
Represented by his Deputy Hamman Adama Ibnu Abdulahi the Speaker saluted the Governor for constructing many roads and hospitals in all zones of the State and wished him success in his Senatorial ambition.
On his part, Commissioner of Water Resources Yusuf Nya Akirikwen who spoke on behalf of all Commissioners described Governor Darius Ishaku as a good leader that has the people at heart.
Chairman Council of traditional rulers in Taraba State the Aku Uka Manu Ishaku Adda Ali who spoke on behalf of his colleagues thanked the Governor for his support to them and appealed for more considering the enormity of the burden on their shoulders.
He prayed God to enable Governor Ishaku to transfer the baton of leadership to the right person that will work for the overall good of the State.
Acting Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the State Inuwa Bakari who expressed happiness on the leadership style of the Governor commended his support and efforts in ensuring that the PDP in Taraba State remains intact and in tune with the present political dispensation.
Chairman of the Taraba State Youth Council of Nigeria, Hikon Atoshi who also bared his mind thanked Governor Darius Ishaku for employing many Youths in the State, establishing the Taraba Marshals, sustenance of peace, providing a brand new bus to the Council pledging the resolve of youths to fully support his Senatorial ambition.
There were also goodwill Messages from Security Agencies, the Head of Service, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Muslim Council, the Judiciary and Special Advisers among others.
Wife of the Governor, Anna Darius Ishaku, Deputy Governor Haruna Manu, Taraba State Police Commissioner, Abimbola Sokoya send other Heads of Security, Secretary to the State Government Anthony Jellason, traditional rulers, Caretaker Chairmen of Local Governments and their Secretaries and other top Government functionaries attended the occasion.
