Governor of Taraba State Dr Agbu Kefas has approved the appointment of Gaius Danjuma as the new Accountant General of the state.
Similarly, the Governor approved the appoinment of Giwa Daniel Dugule as the Deputy Accountant General.
A statement by the Head of Civil Service Suzy Jemimah Nathan says the appointments are with immediate effect.
In related development, Governor Kefas has described the appointment of Shakaah Kanyitor Chira an indigene of Taraba State as the new Auditor General of the Federation by President Bola Tinubu as a huge success for the state and the country.
The Governor said the President made the best choice in picking Mr. Chira which is a reward for experience, hard work and competence of the new Auditor General.
He noted that Mr. Chira is no doubt well equiped for the new job describing him as an effective achiever with many years of cognitive experience.
Governor Kefas maintained that Taraba State will be solidly behind him in his new assignment adding that the appointment is great not only for Taraba State but for the entire North East region and the nation at large.
