Taraba Governor Kefas constitutes boards of Sports Commission, Youth Development Agency

The Governor of Taraba State, Dr Agbu Kefas, has approved appointments into the unbundled Taraba State Sports Development Commission and the Taraba State Youths Development Agency.

In a statement issued by Barr. Timothy Gibon Kataps, Secretary to the Government of the State, the appointments are with immediate effect.

It listed the appointments to include; Hon. Joshua Joseph as Special Adviser, National Sports Development, Barr. Jime Yongo as Senior Special Assistant on Legal Matters.

Others, according to the statement, are Mallam Kabiru Sule as Special Assistant, Community Sports, Coach Bulus Husseini as Chairman and Yosie Daniel Ayuba as Member.

Also, Ramatu Samaila, Mohammed Musa, Abdulraman Musa, Zachariah Garpiya, Alh. Abubakar Adamu Sadiq Moyoyo as members.

A representative of the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, a representative of the Ministry of Tertiary Education, representative of the Military/Para Military agencies, representative of Persons with disability, representative of the Ministry of Justice were included.

“A representative of the Youth, representative of the Traditional Rulers and Religious Leaders, the Executive Secretary to serve as Member/Secretary,” it stated.

In the Taraba State Youth Development Agency, the statement said that the following were appointment; Gara Soyonga Nongha is to serve as Chairman, whereas Luka Nelson, Glory Nicodemus, Tata Elken Lugo, Audu Ahmadu Danmaigoro, Isa Usman Laing, Nasiru Adamu as members.

The statement further said that Representative of the following bodies, are included. Mohammed Sani – Representing Taraba State Council for people with disabilities working in the youth sector;

Tomon Irimiya Ishaku, Representing Non-Governmental Organization working in the youth sector- (SACDI)

Pastor Bello Bolyam, Organization campaigning against Drug Abuse – (SAI)

Representing Non-Governmental

Bashir Mustapha Yusuf – Representing National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN)

Maryam Dauda Suleiman Representing National Council for Women Societies (NCWS), Hussaini Umar Yusuf – Taraba State Student Union and Representative of Ministry of Poverty Alleviation.

Others are Representative of the Ministry of Commerce, Representative of the Ministry of Agriculture.

Representative of the Ministry of Science and Technology,
Representative of the Ministry of Tertiary Education.

Representative of the Ministry of Justice,

Representative of Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development

It stated that the Secretary of the Agency; who shall be a civil servant not below the rank of a Director shall be appointed as
Member/Secretary.
