Taraba Governor Agbu Kefas

The Governor of Taraba State, Dr. Agbu Kefas has constituted a committee to advise government on the full implementation of local government autonomy in the state inline with the recent judgement of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Yusuf Sanda says the Committee is headed by Rt Hon. Abel Peter Diah, Member, representing Mbamnga State Constituency and Chairman, House Committee on Local Government and Traditional Affairs with
Chief Gebon Timothy Kataps, Secretary to the Government of Taraba State,
Barrister Yakubu Maikasuwa, SAN, Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice and Alhaji Aminu Jauro Hassan, ALGON Chairman Taraba State as members.
Other members are Lilian Jonathan, Director Inspectorate BLGT&CA and
Mr. Bala Hussein while Mr. Ezekiel Polycarp is the Secretary.
The statement adds that the committee will be inaugurated tomorrow, Monday July 15, 2024 by 10 am at Government House, Jalingo.
