Taraba State Governor, Dr Agbu Kefas says he is poised to provide affordable and effective transportation to ease the movement of people within the state to reduce their hardships.
The Governor who stated this in China when he visited JAC New Energy office a global brand in the manufacturing of high-quality vehicles, disclosed that Taraba State is committed to procure State of the art buses to ease inter State transportation and cut down on the cost of traveling by the citizens.
He said School buses would also be procured for all Government schools all over the state as a major component of the free education policy of his administration.
Dr. Kefas noted that the state is working hard to cut over dependence on petroleum by finding cheaper and more affordable sources of energy through electronic devices and vehicles.
During the visit, Dr Kefas officially cut the ribbons unveiling the first 300 electronic cars of the 3000 purchased by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and recognized the Governor as a distinguished international personality.
The visit to JAC gave the Governor a first hand experienced with the cutting edge technology of the company especially the electronic vehicles that reduce reliance on fossil fuel.
