Taraba Governor Kefas presents staff of office to new Jankada of Sansani Chiefdom

Taraba State Governor Dr Agbu Kefas has officially presented the Staff of Office to the Third-Class Chief of Sansani Chiefdom, Bello Nuhu Bello, Jankada III.
Presenting the Staff of Office, Dr Kefas said the appointment of Bello reflects the decision and wishes of the people and urged them to support the new traditional ruler to maintain peace in the area.
He warned against indiscipline warning that Government would not condom any disturbance and any one who tries to cause problems in the area will face the full wrath of the law.
The Governor further warned traditional rulers in the state to desist from outright sell of land in their domains, but instead lease land for a period of time to those in need.
The Permanent Secretary, Bureau for Local Government, Tradition and Chieftaincy Affairs, Geoffrey Dame, called for support to the new leader.
In a vote of thanks, Jankada Bello thanked the Governor for giving him the opportunity to serve his people expressing commitment to prioritizing peace in his domain above anything else.
The new chief succeeded his late brother Abdulmutalib Nuhu Muhammad Bello Jankada II who was brutally murdered by assassins in his guest house in Sansani on 18th April, 2024.
Before his ascension to the throne, Bello was the Adamawa State Coordinator, National Directorate of Employment (NDE). He has three wives and children.
