The Executive Governor of Taraba State, Dr. Agbu Kefas, has paid an unscheduled visit to the newly completed TASBISA Southern Zone Bio-Innovation Complex located along the Wukari–Takum Road, opposite Mopol Barracks, in Takum Local Government Area.

During the visit, the Governor witnessed the formal handover of the facility by the Executive Chairman of Takum Local Government Council, Hon. Bako Benjamin, to the Executive Vice Chairman of the Taraba State Bioentrepreneurship Innovation and Solutions Agency (TASBISA), Elder Josiah Bitrus Habu.

The handover highlights effective collaboration between local government and state institutions in advancing grassroots development.

Governor Kefas commended the Takum Local Government Council for completing the project and praised TASBISA for its innovative and forward-looking approach to bio-entrepreneurship.

He described TASBISA as a key pillar of his administration’s vision to harness Taraba State’s rich biodiversity and natural resources for sustainable development, job creation, and economic transformation.

The Southern Zone Bio-Innovation Complex is designed to serve Wukari, Takum, Donga, and Ussa LGAs, in line with the enabling law establishing TASBISA.

The initiative decentralizes innovation, empowers farmers, youth, women, and local entrepreneurs, and promotes solutions in agriculture, biotechnology, waste management, and related sectors.

“This facility is more than infrastructure; it is a catalyst for inclusive growth and grassroots empowerment,” Governor Kefas stated, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to people-centered development.

The Governor urged stakeholders to actively utilize the facility to maximize its impact, reiterating his vision of a prosperous Taraba driven by innovation, integrity, and shared opportunities.
