Taraba monarch charges Muslim Ummah on significance of Ramadan

Taraba Muslim Umma have been reminded to be brothers’ keepers as the season of Ramadan attracts Allah’s bountiful blessings.

Speaking on the significance of Ramadan, a traditional ruler in the state, Alhaji Musa Abubakar Suntai “Ci-Garin Sairkin Dawakin Muri and Garkuwan Sintali Muri Jalingo” defined fasting (Azumi) as total abstinence from eating, drinking, smoking and sexually intercourse during period under review as expected of every matured Muslim.

According to the royal father, at the expiration of 29 or 30 days of fasting during Ramadan, it is expected that Allah will forgive all the sins, he stated.

Alhaji Abubakar Sintali while admonishes Muslim to be close to Holy Book (Al-Quran) praying and extend hands of help to the less privileged which includes widows, orphans, disabled, the aged and sick person underscores the importance of this values in a special month of Muslim Ramadan adding, “whatever given out is multiplying in the eye of Almighty Allah”.

The Ci-Garin Sarkin Dawakin Muri further emphasized on the Holy month as a period for sober reflection, spiritual and fostering unity among citizens urging all and sundry to embrace peace and shun violence during the period and beyond.

Garkuwan Sintali Muri encouraged spirited Muslim Ummah, Philanthropists, politicians and government at all levels to assist the less privileged irrespective of religion, tribe or ethnicity.

While he prayed for all Muslim Faithful for Allah’s blessings and protection in the remaining period of Ramadan.

Alhaji Musa Sintali also called for prayers for Taraba state, Nigeria and to brothers and sisters who in Holy Lands (Saudi-Arabia and Jerusalem) for pilgrimages respectively for peace and safe trip, urging the government to subsidize food commodities for Nigerians across board.
