Governor Kefas at the meeting

Taraba Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has held a caucus meeting in Jalingo on Saturday July 12th, 2024, the first of its magnitude since the inception of the present administration in the state.
The meeting which was presided by the State Governor Dr. Agbu Kefas was strictly based on invitation which agenda is the forthcoming ward, Local Government and State congresses of the Party and election of ad-hoc delegates among others.
Welcoming the participants, Dr. Kefas thanked the critical stakeholders of the Party for their support in his first anniversary in office.
The Governor maintained that Taraba state has been a PDP State since 1999 a fit that must be sustained.
He explained that he was elected to provide good Governance to the State and differenciate between politics and good Governance for the speedy development of the State and sustainable of people’s confidence in the party.

Earlier, the State Chairman of the PDP, Elder Nuhu Abe lauded the support and interventions of the Governor in resolving the urgly leadership crisis experienced in the Party before he assumed office and for ensuring the welfare of members of the Party.
Elder Abe also extended his appreciation to the leadership of the party especially, those who supervised the new membership registration in which new members emerged in an unprecedented number from the opposition into the PDP.
He assured the Governor of the support of the party adding that because of the commitment of the party, Taraba has been ranked among the fastest-growing states in the country.
The meeting which later went into a closed door has the State Deputy Governor Alhaji Aminu Abdullahi Alkali, Senators Haruna Manu Taraba Central, Shaibu Lau, Taraba North, Members of the House of Representatives under the PDP, Hon Mohammed Lauya, Hon Jafaru Chiroma and Hon Sadiq Njiddah Tafida as well as highly selected stakeholders in the state House of Assembly, Commissioners, former Speakers, and Ministers among others.
