A stalwart of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Taraba State, Alhaji Iliyasu Goje Gassol has officially defected to African Democratic Congress (ADC).
The two times Chairman of Gassol Local Government and three times Commissioner in Taraba State, Alhaji Iliyasu Goje, father to Dr Salim Iliyasu Goje, CEO of Dan Mama Smart Homes Limited,
was received by Taraba State ADC Chairman, Hon. Hassan Adamu.
Receiving the politician, Adamu applauded him for taking positive decision noting that the doors of the ADC is open to all.
Accompanied by friends and well wishers, Goje said his defection was driven by frustration with PDP’s leadership.
“PDP leaders, like the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, are destroying. the party. Wike cannot hijack the party while the rest of us continue to look as if we are helpless or we are not human beings I don’t like being subjected to such ridicule Wike is working for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) while still claiming PDP membership,” he said.
Goje expressed confidence in the leadership, of the ADC stressing that the party has the capacity to challenge APC in 2027.
“ADC has all it takes to save the situation in Taraba State and Nigeria and give the people the country of their dream, there is no distraction and the leaders
of the party are not people anyone can buy,” he added,
He urged Nigerians to join the party en masse to fight the battle together and in unison ADC will definitely make a difference adding that more PDP stalwarts are set to join ADC.
“We are emptying PDP in Taraba State into ADC, others are on their way,” the politician said.
His son, Dr. Salim Iliyasu Goje, CEO Danmama Smart Homes Limited has sometimes ago also decamped from the PDP to the ADC with thousands of his supporters citing gross indiscipline and endless crisis in the PDP.
