Taraba Rep. Jafaru Chiroma launches constituency projects

The Member of the House of Representatives for Bali/Gassol Federal Constituency in Taraba State, Yafaru Yakubu Chiroma popularly Known as ADC has launched various Constituency projects.
During the event in Yerima, Gassol Local Goverment, Chiroma inaugurated work for the connection of Mutum-Biyu, Yerima, Gassol and Tella towns with a 33KVA grid and donated a 500KVA Transformer to Mutum-Biyu community as well as 5000 litres solar powered overhead water tank.
The Federal lawmaker also empowered women and youths with both electric and manual sewing machines, liquid fertilizers and other farm inputs.
Launching the constituency projects, Chiroma explained that access to electricity is a fundamental right of the people and key driver of economic development as it is essential for powering homes, schools, hospitals and businesses.

“The electrification of these rural areas will bring about a positive transformation it will provide access to modern amenities such as light, refrigeration, and enhance communication as well as create opportunities for small businesses to thrive and for students to study under conducive atmosphere and excel in their education,” he explained.
He commended President Ahmed Tinubu, Governor of Taraba State Dr. Agbu Kefas, and all stakeholders for making the constituency projects a reality noting that their dedication and hard work have made it possible for the success of the programme signalling the beginning of a new dawn for the benefitting communities.
Governor of Taraba State Dr. Agbu Kefas, represented by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Matters, Alhaji Abubakar Bawa commended the giant strides of the member which is in line with the ‘Moving Taraba Forward Agenda’ of his Administration aimed at bringing dividends of Democracy to the doorsteps of the people at the grassroots.
