Taraba SDP governorship candidate, Hon. Baido describes Wukari home, receives massive welcome

Hon. Baido supporters pushed close as the SDP governorship hopeful commissions the SDP/Ubangayya office at Bantaje in Wukari Local Government Area

It was homecoming for the Taraba State governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Hon. Danladi Baido to Wukari Local Government Area as he was received by a massive crowd into the cradle of Jukun heritage.

Before Hon. Baido and his delegation arrived Wukari town, he commissioned an SDP/Ubangayya office at Bantaje Ward where his teeming supporters tried hard to make him stay overnight with them.

In fact, the supporters had received Hon. Baido from about 10 kilometers from Jalingo, the state capital, to Bantaje and moved in an unprecedented convoy as the town stood-still for a man they so love.

On approaching Bantaje, security personnel attached to the convoy had a tough time trying to shield Hon. Baido from his supporters but many succeeded in getting close to him and got warm handshakes and embrace.

At the commissioning of office, Hon. Baido assured the people of Bantaje and Taraba State of good governance and inclusiveness as Governor of the state.He pledged to address insecurity that has rendered many people helpless because they are unable to carry out their daily activities especially farming.

Approaching Wukari, SDP supporters ushered in Hon. Baido and his entourage from the site of Kwararafa University to EFCC road where he commissioned the Ubangayya Movement office provided by the Chairman of the Movement.

Addressing the mammoth crowd at the office, even as the supporters waited late into the evening at the office, Hon. Baido promised the people of the state justice and fairness if elected as governor.

According to him, Wukari is his second home as in the past, hardly was any weekend that he won’t be in the town and interact with his numerous Jukun friends which he described as brothers.

Later, the SDP governorship hopeful interacted with various groups and associations at a private residence where he informed them of some of the programmes he intended to carry out as governor of the state.
