Taraba SDP governorship candidate, Hon. Danladi Baido

The governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), in Taraba State, Hon. Danladi Baido, has expressed gladness over the establishment of the Catholic Diocese of Wukari and the appointment of Rev. Fr. Mark Maigida Nzukwein, as its Bishop by Pope Francis.
He said the establishment of the Diocese and appointment of the bishop at this time of Advent is a manifestation of the will of God for the people of the state to draw nearer to God.
The Wukari Diocese is carved out of Jalingo Diocese and becomes a suffragan of the Metropolitan See of Jos.
Hon. Baido thanked the Pope for the gesture which the people of Wukari have been yarning for a long time.
The SDP governorship candidate congratulated Rev. Fr. Nzukwein on his appointment as bishop and prayed God to guide and protect him in his new assignment.

He also urged the laity of the new Wukari Diocese to work assiduously for the growth of the Church and support the bishop for spiritual and physically development.
Rev. Fr. Nzukwein was born on July 15, 1969 in Jenuwa Nyifiye and ordained a Catholic Priest for Jalingo Diocese in July 15, 1995.
He studied philosophy at the St. Thomas Aquinas Major Seminary in Makurdi from 1987 to 1990 and theology at St. Augustine’s Major Seminary in Jos from 1991 to 1995.
