Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Tarabians need a man like Chief David Sabo Kente, as the Chief Security Officer of Taraba State to put an end to endless fears of Tarabians citizens if elected as Governor of Taraba State comes 2023.

Tarabians would lost count if they were to list all the insurgencies and the attacks that have been reoccurring since late last year, 2021. It is indeed scary and disheartening that deadly attacks keep unfolding; keeping citizens fearful, lifeless and hopeless. What can we say about the barbaric bomb attack that happened shortly after the Gassol local government area; a memorable incident that claimed the lives of six people and injured nineteen others.

As if the Tarabians had not had enough after the Gassol LG bomb blast, a more severe attack broke out lately, exactly after 6:00 am on the 10th of May which claimed the lives of no fewer than 30 people among many others that were injured. According to the Vanguard newspaper, the anti-ambush troop from Nasarawa state was able to recover some of the items used by bandits and neutralized 2 terrorists after they’ve overpowered the state security agents but couldn’t overpower the bandit.

Sadly, the the Iware bomb incident of Ardo-kola LGA, the Nukkai area in the state capital and the most recent attack on Nigerian Army Headquater in Taraba is still only received quiet inaction by authorities concerned. This is not commendable coupled with the fact that the commander of the 93 Battalion is missing.
Needless to say, the attacks on Taraba land are immensely increasing, and there is no sign of abating yet.

Residents cannot peacefully travel to other states like Kogi, Nasarawa, Benue, Kaduna, Port Harcourt, etc without the fear of being abducted or killed. The bandits have become highly powerful and we doubt if they are ready to back off without much force coming from the state security agency.
Aside from the fact that bandits/terrorists have strong troops with sophisticated weapons which are superior to that of the Taraba state police, they have also proved to have unpredictable strategies to strike at unexpected times.
It is quite worrisome that Taraba state is continuously facing attacks from bandits for over 6 months and less has been done to curb this. It’s extremely disheartening that bad news is gradually becoming a norm in Taraba society because there is no strong assurance from the state government that the security in the state will be strengthened unlike before. The residents are living in fear of being killed in a place they once called home. Children with bright futures and hopes suddenly turned to orphanages, an incurable wound, irredeemable loss.
The government has to protect its citizens because there can never be progress where there is no peace.

Moreover, what we read in the media every day are promises and reports from the state government that efforts are being made to overcome the terrorists, but the result speaks otherwise. Saying that more danger looms if the federal government and state government aren’t proactive will be an understatement.
The security disasters in Taraba state have raised alarming state and the citizens’ need promises. People want results, so enough of trying to justify failures, what people want is to protect the lives and properties of people. Tarabains want to sleep in their homes with two eyes close.

Discussing how the state government has been reacting to some of the insecurity issues, it is no doubt that the government has been extending assistance and empathy to the affected families. But the fact remains that more still need to be done. Empathy is only useful when there are positive changes.
Empathy won’t bring back the lost lives, it won’t heal the broken hearts of the families of the deceased. This is a call on the security agencies in Taraba to intensify their efforts. The duty of the government is to protect its citizen and the best time we all need protection is now.
That’s why we all need a Man who knows what to do all the times, and that Man is Chief David Sabo Kente who’s contesting for the Governorship of Taraba State under APC comes 2023.

This is a servant leader that has the capabilities to fastract development, and will be using digital intelligence to protect the masses in Taraba State when elected.
Taraba is in dire need of help of who will salvage it. Let the work begin today.
