Tinubu, Atiku, Dangote, others commend Governor Kefas, promise readiness to harness abundant Taraba natural resources

President Bola Tinubu, has expressed the federal government’s readiness to support Taraba State in harnessing its abundant natural resources for economic growth and development.
President Tinubu made this known while declaring open the Taraba International Investment Summit held at the Banquet Hall of TY Danjuma House, Jalingo.

The President was represented by Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima.

President Tinubu highlighted Taraba’s vast natural endowments, describing the summit as a timely call for collaboration to unlock the state’s economic potential.

He emphasized the federal government’s commitment to policies and programs that enhance agricultural productivity and stimulate other key sectors.

The president also commended Governor Agbu Kefas for his visionary leadership, stating that the summit would serve as a turning point in the economic transformation of Taraba State.

In his remark, Former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar, has lauded Governor Agbu Kefas for his bold initiative in organizing the taraba state investment summit, describing it as a step in the right direction for sustainable development.

Atiku emphasized that bridging developmental gaps through initiatives like the summit is crucial for the state’s future.

He noted that private investment, particularly in agriculture—a sector Taraba – is renowned for—will not only boost internal revenue but also enhance food security and economic resilience.

He further encouraged investment in key sectors such as education, youth development, and social welfare, stressing that Taraba State stands to gain immensely from inclusive and sustainable development policies.

Also speaking at the event, the CEO of UBA, Tony Elumelu, described himself as a strong advocate for empowerment and economic inclusion.

He praised the summit as a platform for meaningful investment, stating that investment is security.

Elumelu commended President Bola Tinubu’s administration for efforts to stabilize the national currency and pledged to increase UBA’s investment in Taraba State, especially in youth-centered initiatives.

Chairman of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, has expressed his readiness to partner with the Taraba State Government to drive investment and economic development.

Dangote praised the Chairman of the Summit Planning Committee, Ndudi Elumelu, for his outstanding leadership and coordination.

He equally expressed gratitude to Governor Agbu Kefas for inviting him to the summit, describing the event as a platform to showcase the state’s abundant resources and investment potential.

Dangote emphasized that private investment plays a pivotal role in economic growth and commended the Governor for creating such a forward-thinking platform.

According to Dangote, Taraba State is richly blessed with natural resources and possesses immense potential in tourism and other key sectors.

Dangote advocated for stronger collaboration between the government and indigenous investors.

He noted that the Japanese economy was built by local entrepreneurs and stressed the need for Taraba to harness similar strategies.

In his remarks, Taraba State Governor, Kefas described the summit as a light to the state, assuring potential investors of a peaceful and business-friendly environment.
