Traditional rulers mostly from South-South, Southeast of Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa and other parts of the world under the aegis of Traditional Rulers Fellowship, as well as spiritual lords under the canopy of BCS College of Bishops have concluded grand plans to celebrate the 20th anniversary coronation of the spiritual leader of Brotherhood of the Cross and Star, His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu as the King of kings & Lord of lords.

King Tuado Wiko, a traditional chieftain from Rivers State, who is also an archbishop and chairman of the planning committee, disclosed this in Calabar.

He said the celebration would be  weeklong to climax on the 14th April 2021 at the international headquarters of the fold, 34 Ambo Street Calabar Nigeria.

He said the traditional rulers, many of them members of the fold, are giving support to the Bishops who are the major sponsors of the anniversary celebration.

Wiko said they are expecting society and government dignitaries, leaders from the Muslim and Christian folds as well as all humanity to join them in celebrating Olumba Olumba Obu whom he said is the ‘spiritual sustainer and father of all’.

According to Wiko, Olumba Obu whose adherents are in millions across many countries is the best thing that has happened to Africa and the world, adding that his presence in the world has dramatically affected the course of human history.

Hear him: “The Ancient of Days, Great Leader Olumba Olumba Obu, handed over powers and authority to his first son and crowned him as the King of kings and Lord of lords on 14 April 2001. It is the anniversary of that coronation that we would be marking in Calabar next week. It is going to be a grand celebration.  We are not celebrating a mere human being. No human being can bear such a title and survive one minute. We are celebrating power beyond man, the supernatural phenomenon.

“As I speak, dignitaries from Ghana, Cameroon, Trinidad and Tobago, United Kingdom and USA have arrived in Calabar to participate in the august celebration.  We have received confirmations from an array of traditional institutions in Nigeria and elsewhere that they are coming.”

Also speaking on phone, the Etchie  of Etchie Kingdom in Rivers State, His Royal Majesty E B Opurum who is the head of the Traditional Rulers Fellowship, a body of Christian monarchs,  said they are lower kings and that Olumba is the overall King, adding that they annually come together to honour and celebrate his kingship and coronation.

He said that they are a body of over 50 members and that they usually converge in Calabar in their full traditional regalia during Olumba’s coronation anniversary to spice up the celebration, maintaining that this year will not be an exception.

The paramount ruler of Yakurr local government area of Cross River State and the Obol Lopon of Ugep, Obol Ofem Ubana Eteng similarly extolled the virtues of the spiritual leader and said that he has usually honoured invitations to attend the annual celebration. “ I love and acknowledge him for his divine power and goodness”, he said when he hosted the fold during their Unity Feast festival in his domain recently

Secretary of the College of Bishops, Archbishop Mike Ntuk said they have anchored the celebration alongside the traditional rulers in the last three years consecutively.  He said they will accord the celebration the superlatives it deserves, because, according to, “celebrating Olumba means so much to humanity because of his virtues and all goodness.”
