The International Coordinator of the Transparency Initiatives, Professor James Williams has commended Governor Bala Mohammed for choosing credibility, competence and integrity in the person of Malam Garba Hussaini as substantive provost of the Bill And Melinda Gates College of Health Sciences and Technology, Ningi (BMGCHSTN), some years ago. He noted that the Governor’s right choice is confirmed by Provost’s ingenuity to take the college to greater heights of prosperity, growth and academic excellence across the divides.
The group made this known, during global annual retreat and press conference on “transparency and accountability ratings among all Nigerian Tertiary Institutions”
The International Transparency Network described the Provost Garba Hussaini as man of few words, wisdom, Godfearing, understanding, disciplined, professionalism and integrity.
The group went ahead and mentioned some of the critical projects so far announced and recorded by Provost Garba Hussaini, which includes; bringing best consultancy service unit (head by pioneer General Manager Malam Jamilu Abubakar Fate) putting up best ICT facilities, ensure total welfare of staffs and students of the college, standard laboratories, well equipped modern library, perimeter fencing of the college, maintaining strick discipline among staffs and students, among others.
The group also recalled that NBTE has commended the college management for effective representation across all academic stratification for the overall development and academic excellence of the state.
The network, equally enumerated that reputable organizations in and out of Nigeria have conferred various wards of excellence to the provost for the college exceptional academic services, discipline, growth and professionalism.
In another development, the deputy coordinator of the network, Ms Janeth Peter has also commended the provost for ensuring transparency and commitment in accordance with professionalism and integrity of global education best practices.
On his part the Secretary of the Transparency Network Initiatives Dr Ibrahim Mohammad, said Garba Hussaini is a rare gem because of his academic excellence, history of public service and fear of God.
