Chief Executive Officer, 24hours Road Accident Victims Support Initiative, (TRAVSI), Gadafi Asemanya wants the Benue State Government to declare a state of emergency in the health sector.

Mr Asemanya made this known in a statement in Makurdi on Tuesday.

He expressed concern that most times when some accident victims are rescued and taken to hospital, they end up being referred to Abuja or Jos and some die on the way.

He appealed to Governor Hyacinth Alia to write his name in gold by investing massively in the health sector to attract medical tourism saying that the efforts of his NGO would be in vein if victims of accident die due to absence of facilities in Government hospitals.

While calling on sons and daughters of the state to come back home and invest in the health sector, the Chief Executive Officer, TRAVSI enjoined parents to caution their under age children against driving and over speeding.
