The Executive Secretary of the Taraba State Contributory Health Insurance Agency (TSCHIA), Pharm Jacob Akenzupki and his management team paid a heartfelt courtesy visit on Monday, September 29, 2025 at the NHIA Taraba State Office, to bid farewell to the outgoing NHIA Taraba State Coordinator, Mal. Mohammed Aminu Ardo, and also to welcome the incoming state Coordinator, Mr. Ernest Tarbo. The ceremony, which was held immediately after Mr. Tarbo’s official takeover of leadership in the state, it was a poignant moment, marking the transition of responsibilities.
During the emotional gathering, Pharm Akenzupki extended a warm welcome to Mr. Tarbo and pledged TSCHIA’s collaboration with the new State Coordinator in efforts to improve access to qualitative healthcare in Taraba State. He also expressed gratitude to Mal. Mohammed Aminu Ardo for the seamless relationship cultivated during his stewardship and wished him the best in his future endeavors.
The ceremony was attended by notable directors of TSCHIA, including Aliyu Idris Kirim, Secretary; Rubi Paul Marafa, Director of ICT; Dr. Adamu Ali Bukar, Director of Standards and Quality Assurance; and Abbo G. Kawu, Director of Programmes.
Also present was Dr. Yakubu Sani Elyakub, Head of Standards and Quality Assurance at the NHIA Taraba State Office.
With his rich professional background and expertise in health insurance and management, Mr. Ernest Tarbo is well-positioned to lead the NHIA Taraba State Office towards achieving Universal health coverage and provide qualitative healthcare services for the people of Taraba State.
