Ukachukwu vows to transform Awka into world-class capital, promises attention to insecurity

The gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC),for November, 2O25 Governorship Election, Prince Dr. Nicholas Ukachukwu, has promised to turn around the State capital city into a work class capital.
Prince Ukachukwu who made the promise at Nibo during the thank you tour of the Local Government Areas in the State with his running mate, Sen Dr. Uche Ekwunife also assured that he would address the vexed issue of insecurity in the State capital when elected.
Addressing an enthusiastic crowd of supporters, community leaders, and residents, Ukachukwu underscored the pivotal role of Awka South in Anambra’s development and pledged to elevate Awka into a state capital that embodies modernity and progress.
Ukachukwu described Awka South Local Government Area as the cornerstone of Anambra’s political and economic base.
“Awka South is the heartbeat of our state. As the capital, it must shine as a true symbol of Anambra’s greatness,” he declared.
The flag-bearer outlined bold plans to revitalize Awka through cutting-edge infrastructure, strategic urban development, and economic empowerment initiatives, promising: “We will transform Awka into a city that inspires pride across Anambra and beyond. A city where insecurity and incessant killings of our youths will be a thing of the past .”
Joined by his running mate, Senator Ekwunife, the APC state chairman, Chief Basil Ejidike, Dr Obinna Uzoh among others Ukachukwu emphasized his commitment to uniting Anambra under the APC’s progressive vision.
Drawing on his experience as a philanthropist, real estate magnate, and former House of Representatives member, he vowed to deliver inclusive governance, saying :“Our campaign is about connecting Anambra to the centre for unprecedented development.
With APC, we will secure federal resources, grants, and opportunities to transform our state,” he said,assuring to prioritise basic infrastructures, security, and agricultural development.
The Nibo rally, part of Ukachukwu’s extensive tour across Anambra’s 21 local government areas, drew passionate support from traditional rulers, market women, youth groups, and party loyalists.
Senator Ekwunife in her speech during the event urged residents to rally behind Ukachukwu, describing him as a visionary leader capable of unseating incumbent Governor, Charles Chukwuma Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
“Prince Ukachukwu is the change Anambra craves for. Together, we will build a state that works for all,” she affirmed.
Chief Ejidike on his part, reiterated the party’s grassroots strategy, stating: “Awka South is key to our victory. With Prince Ukachukwu leading, we are on a clear path to the Government House.”
