Late Charles Admike

Senator Victor Umeh, representing Anambra Central Senatorial District in the Senate, Val Ozigbo, the Vice-Chancellor, Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Igbariam, Prof. Kate Omenugha, were among prominent personalities who joined Rev. Fr. Dr. George Admike, the Director of Communication, Catholic Archdiocese of Onitsha, to bury his elder brother, Charles, Saturday in Awka Etiti, Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State.
The burial mass celebrated at the St. Joseph Catholic Church Awka -Etiti, was presided over by Bishop Martin Uzoukwu, the Catholic Bishop of Minna Diocese, Niger State.
In his homily the Catholic priest of Alor, Idemili North Local Government Area of the State, Rev. Fr Izuu Ifem reminded the people that nothing happens in this world without God’s knowledge.
He said God allows tribulations and temptations to test people’s faith, saying that death is a debt every human being is entitled to pay any time
Rev Fr. Ifem who said Charles Admike was his cousin described him as an easy going person who knew the value of relationship.
He said that the death of Charles Admike at the age of 56 was painful but
noted that nobody can question God, urging the family to look unto God who he said would console them.
Rev. Fr. George Admike who is also Chief Protocol to Archbishop Velerian Okeke of Onitsha Archdiocese lauded the Archbishop and Bishop Uzoukwu for their fatherly care and love.
He also commended over sixty Priests, Monsignors, Episcopal Vicar of Iyiowa Odekpe Region, Very Rev. Fr. Dr. Emmanuel Egwuoba, Religious, Venerable Charles Umeoduagu, friends and well wishers as well as all and sundry for their support.
The cleric however urged his mother, his late brother’s wife and her children to take heart, assuring that even though their father had died the remaining siblings are available to provide for them
However, Archbishop Valerian Okeke who was not physically present at the requiem Mass had on the vigil Mass reached out to the bereaved family at their residence , where he condoled them as well as prayed for the peaceful repose of late Charles Adimike.
Fr. Admike said that the Prelate was represented during the mass by the Onitsha Catholic Archdiocesan Chancellor, Very Rev. Fr. Dr. Prudentius Emeka Aroh and Episcopal Vicar of Nnobi Region, Very Rev. Fr. Johnbosco Ezika.
Speaking on behalf of Admike family, Mr. Callistus Adimike said: ” Our profound gratitude and appreciation go to all who through their prayers, kindness and support have shared in our grief and sorrow over the demise of our brother, father, husband and uncle”.
