United airlines Founder, Okonkwo, donates N5m to Okwuosa Foundation medical mission

Founder and Chairman of United Nigeria Airlines, Prof. Obiora Okonkwo has donated ₦5 million in support of the Emeka Okwuosa Foundation’s Medical Mission.
Okonkwo, who is the founder and Chairman of United Nigeria Airlines made the donation during his visit to Dame Irene Okwuosa Memorial Hospital in Oraifite, Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State.
The business mogul was accompanied by a delegation, including former Super Eagles captain, Kanu Nwankwo (Papilo).
They were received at the hospital by Sir Emeka Okwuosa (CON), Chairman of the Sir Emeka Okwuosa Foundation and Founder of the Dame Irene Okwuosa Memorial Hospital.
Okonkwo said the visit was to facilitate a partnership with the Sir Emeka Okwuosa Foundation, following Kanu’s impact and history with heart foundations.
He lauded Okwuosa’s service and impact, just as he reaffirmed United Nigeria Airlines’ commitment to providing future assistance and partnership.
“The humanitarian donation of N5 million was to support the medical mission, which has impacted numerous beneficiaries across the country.
“As a key partner, United Nigeria Airlines has already provided flight services for the mission’s health workers, aligning with the company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) and core values of service,” he added.
Okwuosa appreciated Okonkwo’s contribution to the medical mission’s success.
He highlighted the crucial role of the partnership with United Nigeria Airlines, noting that their reliable flight schedules were vital for the mission’s execution.
Dame Irene Okwuosa Memorial Hospital is a cardiology centre offering free heart surgery for both adults and kids through a team of volunteer experts from the VOOM Foundation of USA as part of its ongoing medical mission.
