Unstoppable eagle: Senator Wadada’s APC revalidation signals massive political earthquake

By Sam Israel

On Sunday, September 7, 2025, the historic town of Keffi was transformed into a theater of political grandeur as the illustrious Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada formally revalidated his membership of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

It was not just a ceremony; it was a carnival, a living testimony of the unshakable bond between a leader and his people. From the very first beat of the drums, it became clear that this was no ordinary political outing — it was destiny unfolding.

The procession began at the Senator’s campaign office opposite the Keffi Local Government Secretariat. Like a mighty river swelling with tributaries, the crowd multiplied as it wound its way through the popular Antua Bridge, itself vibrating under the thunderous chants of the people.

The convoy pressed forward, passing through the gate of the Federal Medical Center, drawing cheers from patients and medical staff alike, all eager to glimpse the man they hail as the people’s senator and the governor-in-waiting.

From there, the jubilant throng surged into the Keffi neighborhood market. Traders abandoned their stalls, women raised ululations to the heavens, and young men danced ecstatically as Wadada’s presence electrified the atmosphere.

The grand procession climaxed at the iconic Gadn Sarkin Mudu, popularly known as Yara Bridge — a bridge constructed and commissioned by Senator Wadada himself as part of his numerous constituency projects. There, the crowd paused, not only to honor him but also to celebrate the enduring legacy of his service to the people.

The entire spectacle was amplified by a sea of jubilant women from Tudun Kofa and neighboring communities, who danced and sang with uncontainable joy. Their chants carried a prophetic tone: “Here comes the people’s governor of 2027!”

Along Sarkin Ahmadu Road, at the APC office located at No. 29, space became a luxury. The building was packed to capacity, while hundreds more thronged outside, all eager to witness the Eagle’s revalidation in the nest of progress.

In his welcome address, Alhaji Hassan Wali, the APC Ward Chairman, declared that Senator Wadada’s revalidation was not only constitutional but also divinely ordained. He described Wadada as a worthy member and a torchbearer whose presence strengthens the very foundation of the party.

The day reached an even higher crescendo at the grand reception organized by the illustrious Pada Good-to-Go Forum in honor of the Senator. The gathering became a symposium of loyalty, love, and gratitude.

In his address, Senator Wadada himself spoke with characteristic humility and statesmanship. He reminded the people that their overwhelming love must find expression in action, urging all Nigerians yet to register to seize the ongoing opportunity to obtain their voter’s cards.

“No amount of your love for me will bear fruit,” Wadada declared, holding his APC card aloft, “unless you come out en masse to vote. Only then will our collective dreams take wing.”

His words resonated like thunderclaps, drawing spontaneous applause and chants of “Wadada 2027!” from the charged crowd.

Dignitaries and political stalwarts were not absent from this political renaissance. Among them, the Honourable Commissioner for Information, Culture, and Tourism, Dr. Ibrahim Tanko — himself a son of Tudun Kofa — hailed the revalidation as nothing short of a homecoming.

“This is the best thing that has happened in recent political history,” Dr. Tanko declared. “Wadada’s revalidation is a game-changer. It has shifted the entire political arithmetic of Nasarawa State in favor of APC come 2027.”

His remarks captured the prevailing sentiment in Keffi and beyond: that Senator Wadada is not merely a politician but the people’s consensus, the one whose credibility and grassroots bond defy opposition strategies.

The occasion was crowned with cultural display, music, and prayers, all blending into a symphony of unity. Keffi town had never seen such a fusion of festivity and political purpose.

As if heaven itself had been waiting to give its verdict, the skies opened in a torrential downpour as the event drew to a close in front of the palace of the Emir of Keffi.

To the people, the rain was no ordinary weather. It was divine endorsement — nature’s own proclamation that the Eagle’s wings have been blessed to carry the hopes of Nasarawa State into a glorious future.

Young and old, men and women, political heavyweights and ordinary citizens alike interpreted the rain as a covenant between God, the people, and their chosen leader.

It was not just Senator Wadada’s revalidation; it was the revalidation of hope, of progress, and of the promise of better governance for every ward, every village, and every household in Nasarawa.

To the APC, the day marked a new dawn of consolidation. With Wadada’s grassroots machinery now firmly in its arsenal, the party stands poised like a colossus towering above the opposition.

To the people, the day affirmed that their destiny lies not in empty promises but in the proven leadership of a man who has walked with them, built for them, and stood by them through every challenge.

And so, as the curtains fell on that extraordinary day in Keffi, one truth became undeniable: the Eagle has not only landed — it has soared higher, carrying with it the hopes and mandate of a people determined to see Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada crowned as the Governor of Nasarawa State in 2027.
