Vice President Osinbajo, Bauchi, Borno,Yobe Plateau, Jigawa Governors, Ministers attend wedding of Education minister Adamu Adamu’s daughter in Azare

It was a beehive of activities as dignitaries from across the country including the Vice President of Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, State Governors hosted by Bauchi state Governor, Sen Bala Mohammed converged on Azare, the headquarters of Katagum Emirate for the wedding fatiha of the daughter of the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, Barrister Fatima Zara.
A Presidential Jet conveying the Vice President and his entourage arrived Azare airstrip at about 12 noon for the wedding that took place at the Azare Central Mosque in front of the Emir’s Palace with hundreds of people in attendance on Saturday.
The wedding Fatiha was presided over by the Chief imam of Azare Central Mosque with the sum of N200, 000 paid as the dowry.
Shortly after the wedding, Governor Bala Mohammed led the Vice President and other invited guests for a homage on the Emir of Katagum, Alhaji Umar Faruq II during which  goodwill messages were delivered.
The Vice President stressed the need for peaceful coexistence among all Nigerians irrespective of ethno-religious and political differences saying that it is only in a peaceful atmosphere that meaningful progress can be made.
He reiterated the commitment to the President Muhammadu Buhari led administration to tackle the issue of insecurity across the country urging the people to continue to support the government in that direction.
Among those who witnessed the occasion were Governors of Borno, Babagana Umara Zulum; Yobe, Mai Mala Buni; Plateau, Simon Bako Lalong; Jigawa, Badaru Abubakar as well as formers Governors of Bauchi Muhammed Abdullahi Abubakar, Isa Yuguda and Ahmed Adamu Muazu as well as Jigawa, SaminuTuraki.
Ministers of Communication and Digital Economy, Isa Ali Pantami; Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Muhammed and that of State for Education, Emeka Nwajioba as well as politicians across political divide and top government functionaries.
