Vice President Osinbajo, Governor Buni, APC delegates meet behind closed doors in Yobe

Vice President Professor Yemi Osinbajo, All Progressives Congress (APC), Presidential aspirant stormed Yobe State capital meeting with the delegates behind closed doors.
Our correspondent who was at the venue report that, On is arrival, he paid courtesy call on His Royal Highness, the Emir of Damaturu, Alhaji Shehu Hashimi Ibn El Kenemi at the Emir’s Palace, the Vice President asked the Emir to thank his host Governor Mai Mala Buni and commended the Governor
According to him, Mai Mala Buni has done well for our great party and he led our great party to a very successful convention and our great party has become very stronger on the account of his leadership of the caretaker committee”.
He added that “today your royal highness we’re here to meet with the delegates of our party, APC who will be electing, nominating the next Presidential candidate of our party for the 2023 forthcoming elections.
He added that, ” I put myself forward as Presidential aspirant and this is after having served as Vice President for the past seven years under our great President Buhari and in that capacity as Vice President I have worked very closely with the President, the President has given me all the exposure.”
The Vice President told journalists that he was in Damaturu to meet the delegates of the party and to inform them about his presidential ambition
He said he had a fruitful discussion with the delegates on different issues ranging from the nation’s economy, the future and other matters of concern for the party and the country.
“In preparatory to the primaries of our party at the end of the month, I’m here to talk to members of our party and we had very fruitful discussions on wide ranging issues, concerning the economy of the country, concerning the future and so many other matters of concern for the party and for the country,” he said.
The Vice President also discussions on issues concerning security, the economy and human capital development, among others. “I have served in the Federal Government of Nigeria for the past seven years. And I have been involved because the president considered it the right thing to do.
“In his own generosity and his openness, he gave me every opportunity to serve, including very sensitive international assignments.
“As you know, I also acted as president during certain periods when the president was away on medical vacation,” he said.
