Vice President Shettima, APC National chairman Yilwatda, Agara, others welcome former Kogi Governor Captain Wada from PDP to APC

Vice President Kashim Shettima, National Chairman of All Progressives Congress, (APC), Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, Hon. Silas Agara, amongst dignitaries that welcomed former Governor of Kogi State, Captain Idris Wada from the Peoples Democratic Party to the APC.
The defection ceremony, held at the Muhammadu Buhari Square, Lokoja, capital of Kogi State, North Central Nigeria, attracted APC members and party leaders across the State.
Vice President Shettima, APC Chairman amongst others said that the APC is poised towards the growth and development of Nigeria.
Captain Wada and other prominent opposition politicians in the state formally resigned their membership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Social Democratic Party (SDP), and Labour Party (LP) and register with the APC.
Former Speaker of Kogi state House of Assembly, Alfa Umar Imam; former state legislator, Mr. Friday Makama; former SDP deputy governorship candidate in the state, Mr. Sam Abenemi; former local government council chairmen, state legislators, and social media activist, Mr. Austin Okai, were among the new members of the APC in the State.

Former Governor Wada said he was impressed with the development policies of the APC at both the national and state levels of governance, as he applauded President Bola Tinubu’s administration for his economic recovery agenda.
