Vice President Shettima enjoins North-East Governors to initiate visible projects, declares 15th joint Trade Fair open

The Vice President of Nigeria, Senator Kashim Shettima enjoined Governors of North East subregion to prioritize infrastructure and economic growth initiative in their collective struggle to established legacy projects in their respective states.
Senator Shettima gave the advice while inaugurating the remodel Bauchi State Government House, Bauchi constructed by the Governor Bala Mohammed.
The edifice consist of nine office buildings including Governor’s office, his Deputy, and that of the State First Lady as well as expanded Governor’s residence, Mosque, clinic, Dr. Suleiman Adamu Square among others.
Vice President Shettima said effective leadership required a conducive working environment that would facilitate formulation and implementation of laudable policies and programmes.
Also Speaking, Governor Mohammed who said the former government house was characterized by inadequate space, dilapidatd structures and unfavorable working environment, noted that he was inspired to reconstruct the seat of power under his administration urban renewal initiative.
He appreciated the Vice President for devoting his time to honour the invitation which added glamour and color to the history making event.
The occasion attracted Governors from North east subregion who were in the state for their meeting, former Governors of the state, members of the National Assembly, Emirs from within and outside the state including foreign partners.
Similarly, Vice President Shettima has declared open the 15th Northeast Joint Trade Fair at Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida Square Bauchi, where he described the initiative of the north east governors to collaborate and established a common front for economic development of the region as timely.
He assured that with this development, the perennial issue of insecurity in the region is coming to an end as our teaming unemployed youth will be involved and engaged in so many agricultural activities that will give them money to be come purposeful, thereby reducing the rate of unemployed youth in the region.
