We encourage youth to be sports ambassadors of Nigeria – Salem Academy

The Administrator of Salem Academy, Lugbe, Abuja, Mr Agada Agada has said that the school has been encouraging youth to embrace sports for they to be Professionals and sports Ambassadors of Nigeria in future.

He said in his speech at the 13th inter house sports competition organized by the school.

According to him, ” This is thirteenth edition of the championship for pupils and students of the academy and others within the environment.

“We are calling on youth to embrace sports and avoid anything that is against the law like drugs consumption and addiction which is not good to the victim, the society and country at large,” he said.

In his remarks, Chairman of the Parent Teachers’ Association of the school, Alhaji Mustapha Pindar Sa’id, “We the parents are happy that the school organises this type of sports championship for pupils and students. This is a means to’ catch them young’ towards achieving greatness through sports”.

Both primary and secondary School classes participated in the championship that included 20m, 50m, 100 m, 200m, relay, filing the bottle, run carrying an egg on a spoon, picking the ball, run in a sack and cheer leading respectively.

Blue house lifted the first position trophy, Red House came second, Yellow House and White House came fourth respectively.

The three schools that participated in the 4×100 relay were Lugbe International Academy, Focus private acafemy and Bridam International Academy.
