Bauchi State Governor, Sen Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has reiterated his administration’s keenness to providing necessary support and contributions in an effort to expanding business opportunities for the benefit of the citizenry.

Bala Mohammed spoke at the Command Guest House on Thursday during the inauguration of the 14th National Annual Council on Industry, Trade and Investment.

He told the gathering that his administration has initiated and implemented policies with objectives of boosting the economy of the state, in addition to upgrading the Bauchi International Trade Fair among others.

Bala Mohammed while appreciating the contribution of the Federal Government and relevant stakeholders, said that Bauchi State remains the gateway to other states in the North-East subregion and beyond, hence the need to ensure potentials of the state are realized.

He added that a committee has since been established under the leadership of his Deputy, Senator Baba Tela to supervise and elevate the efforts on ground for a better society.

Bala Mohammed added that, his administration had been initiating and implementing policies with the objectives of moving the economy of the state along the trajectory of the nation’s overall development aspirations.

He added that those policies were also in tandem with President Muhammadu Buhari’s aspiration to make sure that poverty was fought to the last level.

According to him, “I want to acknowledge the contribution of one of our own, Hajiya Mariam Katagum who represents us at the Federal Executive Council along with our brother, the Minister for Education, Malam Adamu Adamu” .

He added that, “We are in the opposition but we have no regret that we have them as our representatives. They have really brought representation to the level of competence that I am proud of” .

The Governor also said that, “I must thank Mr President for allowing them to always contribute. Bauchi state is a state of Buhari and Buhari is Bauchi state and that’s why even as a governor in the opposition I know the position of Mr President”.
