We’ll continue to be our brother’s keeper – governor’s aide, assures Muslim Ummah, donates food items, others

The Special Adviser to Taraba State Governor on building materials, Chief Uche Obi has assured Muslim Ummah in the state of being their brother’s keeper.

The Governor’s aide stated while distributing assorted food items and soft drinks to Muslim Ummah in Jalingo to mark the end of 2025 Ramadan.

He appreciated God for the peaceful period throughout the Holy month.

Chief Obi noted that Ramadan had been a rewarding period considering the fact that the state witnessed relatively peace.

According to him, Governor Agbu Kefas’ unwavering commitment to security of lives and properties since assumption of office nearly two years ago had been adjudged as most peaceful compared to previous administrations.

The special adviser urged Muslim Ummah to continue to support and pray for Governor Kefas administration, noting that what a leader needed from its people was support and prayers.

He further told the Muslim faithful that as a special adviser to the governor, he was particularly pleased for their peaceful disposition in the state, urging them to continue in that direction.

The special adviser who described the governor as peace-loving and a gift to Tarabans, urged them to guide against unnecessary criticism on government policies and programmes but to offer useful advice that will enable him to succeed in office.

He thanked them for the show of gratitude and love even despite the short notice, just to witness the end of breaking of Ramadan fast.

Responding on behalf of Muslim Ummah, the second Imam of Suleiman Barde way Mosque, Alhaji Sabo Gassol, described the special adviser to the governor as a son.

According to the Imam, the Special adviser had been together with him for more than three decades while appreciating Governor Kefas for the appointment and confidence bestowed on the new aide.

Alhaji Gassol, who expressed delight over the visit of an Igbo-born special adviser to Governor Kefas urged him to continue in the same spirit and thanked him for the items brought to them at this special season.

Meanwhile, a cross-section of Muslim Ummah who spoke to our correspondent shortly after presentation of the items expressed gratitude to the Governor’s aide for remembering them at a time of Holy month and promised to support Governor Kefas’ administration.
