The opposition PDP in Cross River State has said that they will replicate the same victory recorded in Osun State by PDP at their gubernatorial election.
Chairman of PDP in Cross River, Venatius Ikem also stated that the victory of their party in Osun State was largely because of non-performance by incumbent Gov. Oyetola.
In the same vein, Ikem claimed that Prof Ben Ayade of Cross River State has not performed as governor and would therefore be defeated next year by his party.
In an interview in Calabar, Ikem said: “We are poised to replicate the victory by Osun. PDP victory was largely decided on the non performance of Gov. Oyetola.
“The succession of Ayade will be a referendum on his eight years performance.”
While commending his counterpart in Osun State over the victory, Ikem said in Cross River, they are not leaving any stone unturned as they prepare for victory in 2023.
